DI KHAN: The district paramedical staff association has called upon the provincial government to take serious steps for up-gradation of paramedical posts at hospitals.
Presiding over a meeting at Mufti Mehmood Memorial Teaching Hospital here on Friday, Muhammad Sharif said the current up gradation mechanism did not fulfill all needs and the provincial government should notify an up-gradation formula for paramedical staff’s posts at all government hospitals in the province for which it had already promised on many occasions.
He said the paramedical staff played important role in extending services and caring patients at hospitals and the government’s initiative towards resolving their long standing demands in shape of notifying up-gradation of their posts would further improve their performance.
He said the district paramedical staff would vigorously attend meetings of its main chapter at provincial level and support its plan of action, adding the protest would continue unless the provincial governments resolve their genuine problems which had been creating sense of hopelessness among them.
However, he was of the view that since provincial government widely recognized the services of the paramedical staff for patients especially to victims during emergency situation when it occurred bomb blasts, it would consider its earlier summary for up-gradation of paramedical posts at government hospitals.
He also assured the paramedical staff association would cooperate with provincial government in resolving their problems and work with more dedication if their demands were met.
