ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has finalized its all arrangements to plant 300,000 saplings in the Federal Capital during the ongoing monsoon season.
The tree plantation drive aimed to make the city free from pollution and dirt, will kick-start by the CDA environment department,in the Margalla hills and other areas of the Federal Capital, Director Environment of the CDA informed here on Thursday.
Talking to APP, he said the drive will cover areas including Margalla hills, Bhara Kahu, Zero Point and help make the Federal Capital beautiful and clean.
The Director Environment further informed that Prime Minister or President of Pakistan are likely to inaugurate the opening ceremony of the tree plantation campaign.
He said that the main purpose of this plantation drive is to make the city beautiful, clean and green.
It is worth mentioning here that with the launch of the new housing and road projects in different sectors, a number of trees were removed.
He said forthcoming tree plantation campaign will enhance greenery and ensure a pollution-free atmosphere in the Federal Capital.
