ISLAMABAD: The Centaurus Mall will charge Rs100 as entry fee to all visitors except people who fall in a list they have published in newspapers.
According to their public notice, in order to ensure that shopping doesn’t become inconvenient to their customers due to overcrowding, they have introduced a Rs100 entry ticket to filter the crowd.
Those exempted from the entry fee include women, under 12 children, senior citizens, teachers, celebrities, Islamabad Club Members, diplomats, foreigners and MNAs and MPAs.
Many have criticized the move as elitist. Twitter’s response to the notification was hilarious.
The Centaurus Mall is the largest mall of Islamabad, comprising of three towers. As the only mall which this big, it attracts a lot of visitors from smaller cities and towns in Punjab.
