WEB DESK: A landslide in Green Lasht, a village in Chitral has destroyed 25 houses, Aaj News reported.
Chitral the worst hit region from the floods has seen several landslides from yesterday. Key roads to China have been blocked by a landslide on the Karakoram Highway.
Over six bridges have broken down cutting people off from the rest of the country. Victims of the flood including women and children have to walk for hours to reach a safe location.
Many houses have not received drinking water for 15 days.
Officials of the Pakistan Army are engaged in relief and rescue work.
In Gilgit Baltistan, a flash flood washed away 20 houses with it.
Meanwhile areas of Southern Punjab have also been hit by floods. Scores of people have been left homeless and are waiting for help to arrive at Ghazipur.
Water levels in the Guddu and Sukkur barrage have also risen causing floods. On Tuesday a flash flood washed away two children with it.
The Met department has forecast three days of rain. Areas in southern Sindh, Karachi and Thar will witness pleasant weather, while floods are expected in northern Sindh.
