KARACHI: As part of preventive measures, a heatstroke management plan will be devised for Karachi.
This was stated by the Commissioner Karachi, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, while speaking at a seminar on Wednesday, The moot was held under the auspices of the Lead Pakistan and the Urban Unit on heatstroke.
The Commissioner said that a comprehensive planning would be undertaken in this regard and input would also be sought from the health experts, hospital managements, doctors as well as civil society.
He said that work would be initiated soon for preparing a heatstroke plan for Karachi.
More sessions would be conducted for consultations in this regard.
The Commissioner said that devising such a plan for the metropolis was of immense importance.
He said that steps were being taken for preventing casualties in the wake of natural calamities.
