ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party submitted a motion against K-Electric over extended power outages in Karachi, Aaj News reported.
The motion states that water and power ministers should appear in the National Assembly and answer questions raised by the parliamentarians.
Currently, on the directions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, NEPRA is investigating allegations against K-Electric for the death of over 12000 people in the heatwave which took over Karachi in late June.
Karachi has faced four major electric break downs this month, due to which citizens have faced over 8 hours of load shedding.
On Monday, citizens took to the streets to protest recurrent power outages in the city.
