ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the PM House here on Tuesday and exchanged views on a host of issues critical to the security of the country.
According to official sources, matters relating to the Operation Zarb-e-Azb as well as return, rehabilitation and resettlement of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) came under discussion. Reports say they discussed growing Indian involvement in funding terrorism in Pakistan.
The meeting also discussed matters of internal security and the war against terrorism. General Raheel Sharif apprised PM Nawaz about the progress made in the Operation Zarb-e-Azb across Pakistan as well as the security situation at Pakistan’s eastern and western borders.
