LAHORE: People across Punjab continue to suffer due to prolonged power outages amid scorching heat in the province.
Major cities have been facing up to 8-hour while small villages have been suffering from 12-hour load shedding with no letup in the hot weather.
According to NTDC sources, they had been receiving 1300 megawatt electricity quota however, the production is nearly 16000 megawatt.
With the electricity shortfall, loadshedding and power protests also continued in the different parts of province.
The province has been facing the 3600 megawatt short fall of electricity due to which people have to suffer in terms of load shedding during the month of Ramzan.
Reports claimed that sometimes the duration of power outages could increase due to technical faults in some areas. But the provincial govt vowed to end power crisis from different parts of Punjab.
