LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf submitted a resolution in the provincial assembly to bring the MQM chief to Pakistan through interpol and try him here, Aaj News reported.
Opposition leaders Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed and Subtain Khan submitted resolution stating that the parliament salutes sacrifices of Pakistan Army and Rangers and condemned provocative speeches of Altaf Hussain.
Earlier, Altaf Hussain said that false charges were being leveled against him, in a telephonic conference. He said that he had not spoken against the armed forces but against injustice.
He said that he might be murdered, his speeches might be banned and he might be arrested.
Earlier, 21 cases all over Sindh had been registered against the MQM cheif for dishonouring the army and FIA. In a speech Altaf Hussain has passed controversial remarks over the 1971 war in which Bangladesh became an independent country.
Police is investigating those cases.
