LAHORE: Rain/thundershowers and isolated heavy falls are expected at scattered places in the provincial capital during next 24 hours.
According to met office, rain/thundershower is expected at scattered places of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during next 24 hours. However, isolated heavy falls are also expected in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore, Hazara divisions and Kashmir.
The synoptic situation shows that well mark seasonal low lies over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas with its trough extending south-eastward. Monsoon currents are continuously penetrating into upper and central parts of the country and likely to continue during next few days.
However, due to unstable weather conditions and significant monsoon rains, a risk of flash flooding in local streams and nullahs of Punjab and Kashmir is expected during next three days. People living in low lying areas along the streams and nullahs are advised to remain careful during next three days.
During the last 24 hours, scattered rain thunder-showers with isolated heavy falls occurred in Islamabad, upper Punjab, GB and Kashmir.
The minimum temperature was recorded as 25 degree celcius in the morning in city.
