PESHAWAR: The rain coupled with cold breeze on wee hours of Tuesday lashed Risalpur in Nowshera, Kohat, Swat, DI Khan and Dir districts besides other areas of Upper Khyber Pakthunkhwa and turned the weather pleasant.
According to Met Office, In KP, the maximum rain was received by Risalpur in Nowshera 40mm followed by Malamjaba 38mm, D.I.Khan 21mm, Kakul 13mm, Parachinar Kurram Agency 10mm , Saidu Sharif 9mm, Kohat 7mm, Balakot 6mm and Dir 2mm in last 24 hours. The rain has brought the high mercury level down by turning the weather pleasant.
Rain was also reported from Mardan and Swabi districts where people
enjoyed pleasant change in the weather. The people came out to parks from homes and enjoyed rain.
The Met Office has predicted more widespread rain-thundershower in Punjab, Islamabad and Kashmir, scattered in KP divisions of Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Bannu, Kohat, Mardan, D.I Khan and FATA, while at isolated places in Zhob, Sukkur and Larkana divisions during next 24 hours.
The rain has brought relief to people besides will make positive impact on the seasonal crops and vegetables. The doctors also termed the rain very beneficial for controlling seasonal diseases like ENT, cough and chest infections caused by pollution.
