WEB DESK: It’s a shock for his fans but Sylvester Stalone denies that he will be fighting the ISIS in the last of his Rambo movies.
In a statement to Rolling Stone, Stallone’s rep claims the actor didn’t even attend Comic-Con this year, let alone make sweeping statements about the politics of a movie he hasn’t even officially committed to yet. While Stallone did tweet about the potential new Rambo film Last Blood in December, he’s not attached to the project as of yet.
Yesterday reports emerged that Stallone, now 69, would be fighting ISIS in the last of the Rambo series. The too-good-to-be true news took the internet by a storm.
Stallone’s first Rambo film, First Blood, appeared back in 1982 and has been followed by three sequels
When it was released in 1982, the first Rambo movie, First Blood, was a huge commercial success despite critical reviews.
That success led to three sequels, Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Rambo III (1988), and Rambo (2008).
Each movie has grossed over $100 million in worldwide ticket sales.
