ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif Monday said that he respected the vote bank of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) but the statements given by its chief, Altaf Hussain against state institutions were not permissible anyway.
Talking to a news channel, the minister said that Altaf Hussain was issuing irresponsible statements from London, adding, MQM leader should come to Pakistan for doing politics.
He said that MQM chief could not take stand on his statement over the night, as he sought pardon at night on his statements given in the day.
Asif said that Pakistan Army and other security institutions were fighting against terrorism with fortitude and got remarkable success.
Replying to a question, he said that the nation was united and the security forces of the country were ready to face any challenge to the country including terrorism.
The personnel of Armed forces were already being rendering their precious lives for the nation’s future.
