ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid will inaugurate an exhibition of rare photographs from the life of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Pakistan Movement, Pakistan Resolution and Independence Day at Lok Virsa Museum Hall on August 13.
The exhibition is being organized by Directorate of Ele
ctronic Media and Publications (DEMP) in collaboration with Lok Virsa.
The exhibition is organized every year to celebrate the Independence Day in a befitting manner and revive the spirit of 1947 Independence Day among the people of Pakistan. The three day activity is not merely evocation of a sentiment of loyalty to the memory of a great event but a reminder to follow the ideals and principles of a great leader.
The photographs bring to mind the momentous era when almost the whole of Muslim nation formed part of a history making process.
Around 200 rare photographs would be put on display in the three-day exhibition which would be open for general public.
These photographs bring to mind the momentous era when after a long struggle and countless sacrifices of the Muslims of the sub-continent under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam a new Islamic state emerged on the map of the world.
