KARACHI: Two terrorists were killed in a targeted action by the Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the metropolis late on Monday night.
The intelligence driven raid was conducted by the para-military force at the hideout of a banned outfit. On seeing the Rangers, terrorists opened fire and after an exchange of fire two terrorists were killed, while “one Assistant Director of LEA embraced Shahadat, while one soldier also sustained injuries”, according to a Rangers statement issued here on Tuesday.
According to the Deputy Inspector General Office – Karachi East the raid was conducted at a residential flat in Block 13/D-3, Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
A police official said that the terrorists killed in the action were identified as Abdul Ahad s/o Kamal Shah and Saleh s/o Abdul Aziz.
Weapons were also retrieved from their possession, said the official.
