SUKKUR: Baring all social barriers, a large number of transgenders from Sindh rushed to flood affected sites to help victims on Sunday, Aaj News reported.
They distributed clothes, food and tents to flood victims. They sat with them, listened to their troubles and this gave them courage bear their difficulties.
The presence of transgenders in flood affected area, should bring the government to shame, locals said.
After receiving a separate status by the Supreme Court in 2012, the transgender community is busy shedding its negative image. They are now working as social workers and government servants.
