JAMRUD: As many as four people were killed and over 50 injured in a suicide blast that struck Khyber Agency’s Jamrud Bazaar on Tuesday, Aaj News reported.
The suicide bomber struck near a local government office in Jamrud Bazaar area. According to a political administration official, the blast was carried out near the vehicle of Line Officer of the Khasadar force.
Officials said a second bomb planted outside the office of the assistant political agent was found and defused about an hour after the first explosion.
The injured, included at least 15 security personnel of the Khasadar force, were taken to the Jamrud hospital for emergency treatment.
No militant group immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing.
