ISLAMABAD: Senator Lt. General (R) Abdul Qayyum here on Tuesday said that it was the major success of Pakistan’s foreign policy that an important western country was openely supporting Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir dispute.
While talking to Radio Pakistan in program Nuqta-e-Nazar, Senator Abdul Qayyum said owing to the continuous efforts of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, it was realized by International Community that India was involved in the massive violations of human rights in Kashmir.
Now, when Pakistan has successfully launched military operation against the militants, India was creating tensions on eastern borders to divert the attention of forces from war against terrorism, Abdul Qayum said.
Prime Minister was working on several fronts at the same time including internal and external ones. he added.
He said Prime minister was continuously meeting with international leaders to express the stance of Pakistan on different issues and his efforts have strengthened the relations with different countries.
He said that the foreign investment was increasing day by day and the image of the country has been improved on global level as a result of Prime Minister’s extensive efforts.
The recent visit of German Foreign Minister was quite positive, especially his views regarding Kashmir issue, he added.
