DUBAI: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Sunday extended his condolence to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, on the sad demise of his son Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The Prime Minister accompanied by Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatemi and Special Envoy to the PM for Overseas Investment Javed Malik arrived at the Za’abeel Palace this evening to extend the condolence on his and on behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan.
A number of key figures of the ruling family including Sheikh Saif al Nahyan, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammad Al Maktoum were also present during the meeting.
Prime Minister Sharif’s brief visit was an expression of solidarity and deep love of the leadership and people of Pakistan.
The two countries enjoy cordial relations which are rooted in common culture, history and brotherhood.
Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, died at the age of 33 due to heart attack.
Later in the evening, the Prime Minister along with his delegation departed for Islamabad.
