QUETTA: Security forces foiled a major terrorist bid and arrested three suspects along with 3,800 kg explosive materials near Pak-Afghan borders area of Killa Abdullah district on Wednesday.
A spokesman of security forces said that acting on a tip off, security forces personnel carried out a search operation near Pak-Afghan border and apprehended three suspects.
3,800 kilogrammes explosive materials, ten mortar shells and hundreds of sub-machine gun rounds were recovered from their possession. Security forces also took two vehicles into custody.
The security forces spokesman said that arrested suspected militants entered the country from neighbor country of Afghanistan who were trying to reach along with explosive devices to Quetta and other areas of the country for sabotage activities.
Further investigation was underway.
