WEB DSEK: Three years, one fire, 256 dead workers, numerous political allegations and no justice defines the Baldia Factory fire incident.
After three year, whether the fire at Ali enterprises was a planned disruption or a severe mishap remains a question. Over 250 workers perished inside the locked premises of the Ali Enterprises, in Baldia on September 11, 2012.
Initially the case was registered against the management as they failed to provide any safe exits but the owners of the company were provided bail by Sindh High Court later as it was framed as a case of extortion.
A report submitted to the high court by the Sindh Rangers stated that it was a planned terror activity caused by some key figures belonging to a major political party. The case is still unresolved.
