WEB DESK: The German car manufacturer issued a statement denying the responsibility of the Fast and Furious actor, Paul walker’s death.
The company issued a statement in response to the ‘wrongful’ lawsuit by the actor’s daughter Meadow Walker on 28th September this year.
“As we have said before, we are very sad whenever anyone is hurt in a Porsche vehicle, but we believe the authorities’ reports in this case clearly establish that this tragic crash resulted from reckless driving and excessive speed,” Porsche said in the statement.
There was disagreement on how fast the vehicle was traveling at the time of the accident.
Law enforcement agencies have claimed Roger Rodas, Walker’s friend who was driving the vehicle and also died in the crash, was speeding at around 90 mph. The lawsuit says the maximum speed was 71 mph.
Meadow Walker alleged that Porsche knew the car model had a “history of instability and control issues”.
