The earthquake also affected technical infrastructure and communication links.
PTCL responded proactively to this national calamity and its teams on ground through their round-the-clock efforts restored most of the communication services in Shangla, Upper Dir and adjacent affected areas, said a press release issued here on Friday.
Medical units were also mobilized to facilitate the affected people by setting up free camps.
PTCL Chief Human Resource Officer Syed Mazhar Hussain said “PTCL stands with the nation in this hour of grief and is fully cognizant of its responsibilities. Our doctors and medical staff are actively involved in examining the earthquake affectees and providing them complete treatment and medication.”
Chief Business Operations Officer Muhammad Nasrullah said “Our top priority was to restore communication services as soon as possible to connect the victims to the rest of the country and making relief and rehabilitation efforts more effective and smooth.”
“Our teams are working round-the-clock to keep vital communication links active in this natural calamity”, added Nasrullah.
