PESHAWAR: Widespread rain-thunderstorm that lashed different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other part of the country besides snowfall in the northern areas further dipped mercury down.
According to Met Office the overnight torrential rain and thunderstorm and snow on the hill top in the northern areas further dropped temperature during last 24 hours.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more showers and snowfall during next 24 hours, with cold winds enveloped upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan following rain and light snowfall over hills.
Met Office says scattered rain-thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds is expected in upper Khyber Pakthunkhwa including Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan divisions, upper FATA, Islamabad, Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions), Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
More snowfall is also expected over the hills of Malakand division, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
