PESHAWAR: The world sight day was observed Friday in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) with a renewed pledge to help patients suffering with eye complications.
In this regard, a free eye camp was organized by Pakistan Institute of Community Ophthalmology Peshawar in collaboration with Lions Club and Directorate Health Services Fata for the patients and employees of Fata secretariat.
The event was inaugurated by Additional Chief Secretary Fata Muhammad Aslam Kamboh who was the chief guest on this occasion.
He expressed pleasure on provision of services to patients by the doctors and paramedics.
He thanked the organizers for successful holding of the camp and assured full support for holding of such medical camps in future.
The main purpose of the camp was to create awareness among the employees regarding preventive measures for eye diseases.
The staff was also provided medicines and reading glasses whereas patients with serious complications were referred to Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar.
