LAHORE: Lahore High Court has on Saturday formed a bench on the appeal against the decision of discharging appeal of model Ayan Ali’s acquittal from the lawsuit of currency smuggling.
The LHC bench includes Justice Abdul Sami Khan who would hear the appeal registered against discharging of appeal for the acquittal.
Ayan Ali has stated that she was arrested by the department of customs intelligence from the location of the Rawalpindi airport where boarding card was not required. ‘Neither I was going to Dubai nor I had acquired boarding pass,’ she said.
The appeal has said that the model had been taken by custom authorities into unlawful custody for four months during which no crime against her could be proved.
The appeal further said to acquit her from the case by banning customs court’s decision as she could not be found guilty of any crime.
