PESHAWAR: Biometric machines placed in public schools to keep a tab on teachers’ attendance are malfunctioning, Aaj News reported.
Teachers at schools complain that despite trying to install their thumb impressions several times, the machine does not mark them.
The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf government in KPK had installed biometric machines in all public schools, where staff had to punch their thumb thrice in a school day.
The machine was supposed to assist in monitoring teachers’ attendance. Initially, the machines showed positive results, but due to lack of maintenance the machines are now out-of-order.
