PINGRIO: Former Home Minister Sindh Dr Zulfiqar Mirza said on Wednesday that the people of Badin will not trust PPP during the local bodies election in district Badin.
“PPP leaders through the former president of PPP Badin are committing millions of rupees corruption in mega projects.
After being frightened by the strength of public accountability, PPP leaders have tried to postpone the LG elections in district Badin,” he said.
Zulfiqar Mirza, once a PPP stalwart, is contesting as an independent candidate in Badin.
Addressing the participants in an electoral campaign, organized by his group activists and Pakistan Muslim League Functional (PML-F) local leadership in Pangrio, he said they would not allow corrupt leaders of PPP to escape.
He said some elements of PPP are threatening his supporters of dire consequences. He said the PPP’s core leadership had occupied Badin in fear of defeat.
Mirza said that the persons, who hurl threats should understand that November 19, 2015 will be a memorable day for them when the people of Badin will cast votes to their rights, but not to the persons who looted their assets ruthlessly.
He said a large number of people will come out from their homes to cast their votes on Thursday.
He said that the people, who tried to turn him way from people, today have been compelled to live their lives abroad.
He assured that due to alliance of PML-F, PML-N and Arbab Ghulam Rahim groups, they surely will defeat PPP in Badin. He said that PPP had nominated a non-local candidates in Pingrio.
In the end, he thanked the leaders of his coalition for supporting him in his constituencies.
