The APHC at a meeting of its Executive Council presided over by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Srinagar, paid glowing tributes to the sacrifices of Kashmiri youth.
It said that Kashmir was an issue of the Kashmiris’ aspirations and cannot be resolved through military might, Kashmir Media Service reported.
The meeting expressed serious concern over the killing of youth, use of excessive force on peaceful protesters, arrests and curbs on the political activities of Hurriyet leaders. It said that all these actions showed that the puppet rulers could go to any extent in their lust for power.
The participants discussed in detail the suggestions and proposals presented by pro-freedom leaders, ulema, intellectuals and legal experts during the consultative meeting called by the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, to formulate a joint strategy to counter India’s aggressive policies against the Kashmiri people.
A committee was constituted to further consult the pro-liberation leadership, religious organizations, ulema, lawyers, students and traders organizations and members of civil society in light of these proposals and suggestions.
