ISLAMABAD: During first ever local government elections in Islamabad, Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman cast his vote at Model School for Boys at UC-23 Mohra Noor polling station on Monday, Aaj News reported.
After casting his vote, Imran talked to that media said that police registered an FIR against him, asking under what democratic law they have stopped him from reaching out to masses to convince them in favour of his party.
Ahead of elections in several districts, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announces packages worth billions of rupees, Imran said. However, no FIR was registered against him for violation of ECP code of conduct, he added.
He asked, “Have we ever seen in the world where an election commission is accused of bias and the election is carried out under that body”.
