WEB DESK: The Fahad Mustafa and Iman Ali starrer, Mah-e-Meer was scheduled to hit silver screens on 6th November, however, it’s release has now been delayed to a new date.
Industry sources reveal that the film’s release has been postponed due to post production issues. At present, the film is in its color grading phase and is now expected to slate in the first week of January 2016.
An industry source stated that there is a meager chance for the film to release in the last week of the year, but most probably it will be made public in the first week of new year.
Mah-e-Meer has been directed by it’s writer, Sarmad Sehbai in collaboration with Anjum Shehzad.
The flick casts Fahad Mustafa, Iman Ali, Sanam Saeed, Manzar Sehbai, and a few other talented artists of the industry.
The movie is inspired by the life of the legendary urdu classical poet , Mir Taqi Mir. It follows the struggles of a contemporary poet and draws parallels with events in Mir’s life,his conflict with the royal court, his ideals of bringing Urdu poetry to the people in the streets, and his eventual madness in full moon; all of which are reflected in his poetry.
