SUKKUR: Sukkur Electric Power Supply Company (SEPCO) on Monday warned public and private sector defaulters to clear their arrears within the stipulated period or face disconnection of power supply.
Chief Executive SEPCO, Muzffar Abbasi told APP here that the company has launched a vigorous campaign for the recovery of arrears. All defaulters have been strictly warned to clear their current bills and arrears to avoid any action which may lead to immediate disconnection of their power connection.
He said that all SEs, Xens and SDOs working in distribution companies in Larkana, Khairpur, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Ghotki, Naushahro Feroze and other districts had been directed to disconnect the power supply of defaulters forthwith and initiate action against them.
All the SDOs have also been strictly directed to personally pursue and plead the cases in the court, he added.
He said that recovery teams have been constituted at sub-division level to fully ensure 100 per cent recovery of arrears.
Muzffar Abbasi said he will personally monitor the overall performance of all subordinate field officers and the officials showing poor performance will be taken to task.
The Chief Executive warned all the officials not to restore power supply unless arrears were cleared failing which concerned officer would be suspended.
He said that all officers would be responsible for achieving the targets set by the authority.
