LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated advanced Instrumental Landing System at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore on Saturday.
Through use of this system, airplanes will easily land in dense foggy conditions.
Earlier, a briefing was given to the CM regarding the functioning of the system.
Meanwhile, talking to newsmen at Lahore Airport prior to his departure for United Kingdom, the chief minister said that Pakistan and UK enjoy the best friendly and economic relations.
He said that his visit will further boost the mutual relations between the two countries.
During the visit, the CM will meet the UK authorities and heads of various government departments and institutions.
