WEB DESK: Amid rising criticism over Facebook’s policy to change its display picture in the colours of the French flag , while ignoring atrocities in Beirut, Baghdad and Syria, its founder Mark Zuckerberg officially replied.
In a message he posted on Facebook he explained, “Until yesterday our policy was on to activate Safety Check for natural disasters. We just changed this and now plan to activate Safety Check for more human disasters going forward as well.”
To all those criticizing Facebook’s policy he said, “You are right that there are many important conflicts in the world. We care about all people equally.”
Kudos to Zuckerberg for this apt reply. He received over 17000 likes and over 34000 replies.
