BRISBANE: Melbourne Renegades won the third match of Big Bash League (BBL) by seven wickets with three balls remaining against Brisbane Heats.
Brisbane won the toss and opted to bat first and posted 180/5 on the board, Chris Lynn remained the highest scorer for Heats by scoring 35 runs in 20 balls with the help of 2 sixes. Heats were 66/3 after 10 overs, they accelerated in last overs and made 114 runs. Xavier Doherty took 2 wickets and giving 29 runs in 4 overs.
Chris Gayle and Aaron Finch opened Renegades innings, Fireworks expected. They both gave ideal start for Renegades and put 38/0 after 4 overs.
Finch and Gayle both made a record during their innings. Chris Gayle becomes first cricketer to score 600 Sixes in T20. When Finch reached 39 runs he became the first player to score 1,000 runs in the BBL history. After Gayle dismissal, Finch and White carry the innings and made 65 and 55 runs respectively.
Heats were sloppy in the field, 3 catches were dropped and 2 run out chances were missed. Dwayne Bravo whams 22 runs in just 9 balls to end the proceedings. Aaron Finch named man of the match for his anchoring 65 runs.
