WEB DESK: The Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) and the martyrs of Karbala is being observed across the country amid strict security. Processions to mark the historic event will be taken out. Pillion riding has been banned in Karachi, Quetta and Peshwar. In Karachi the Chehlum procession will be taken out from Nishter Park and end at the Hussainian Iranian Imambargah.
The Inspector General Police has called for foolproof security measures. In Rawalpindi, more than 5000 policemen will guard the procession routes. The main procession would be taken out from Colonel Maqbool Imambargah and end at the Imambargah Qadeemi after passing through its designated route.
