MUZAFFARABAD:The political leadership of AJK on Saturday hailed the Indian Prime Minister Narendera Modi’s visit to Pakistan yesterday and expressed hope for the positive outcome towards resolving all the issues including Jammu and Kashmir for durable peace in the region.
The President Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Yaqoob Khan stated that the pleasant gesture shown by both Prime Ministers would create an atmosphere where, the journey towards peace and harmony shall be smooth and doubts were removed.
The AJK Prime Minister Chaudhary Abdul Majeed said the visit was a positive step towards right direction and could prove beneficial for resumption of comprehensive dialogue process between the two countries to resolve all the outstanding issues.
The speaker Azad Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Sardar Ghulam Sadique Khan said that the surprise visit was a pleasant news for the people of South Asia and was also a happy event for people of Jammu and Kashmir who were hoping some good outcome of the composite dialogue process since it was started.
The opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly Raja Farooq Haider said any event that brings both the countries closer, was optimistic for people of Jammu and Kashmir who wish to get their issue be resolved peacefully.
Ex-Prime Minister and head of All Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference, Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan said the Kashmiri people had great expectations with composite dialogue process and anything that could resume the process was a good news for the AJK people.
