WEB DESK: Nation marks 139th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on Friday with zest and zeal.
A change of guard ceremony was held at the mausoleum of the father of the nation. The cadets of Pakistan Military Academy Kakul assumed the guard’s duty at the Mazar.
President Mamnoon Hussain, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad , Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and members of the provincial cabinet visited the mausoleum to place wreaths and offer Fateha.
Sindh police have been ordered to make strict security arrangements on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day.
IGP Ghulam Haider Jamali has directed the officials to take strict security measures around government authorities and especially around the mausoleum of Quaid -e-Azam as large number of public will be paying visit to the mausoleum today.
Various academic and literary events and programs will be held across the nation to mark the birth anniversary of the great leader.
Electronic media including television and radio channels will air special documentaries revolving around the life and works of the father of the nation.
Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on December 25, 1876 in Karachi. The day is celebrated with great fervor to mark the birth of the founder of Pakistan and is a national holiday every year.
