Former World Champion Qamar Zaman, former World No. 2 Mohib Ullah Khan, Director PAF Sports Control Committee Group Captain Asghar Awan, officials, players and large number of spectators were also present.
Zeeshan Gul of PAF faced tough resistance in the marathon five sets battle lasted for 59 minute. Zeeshan Gul won the first two sets by 13-11 and 12-10 but failed to click in the third and fourth sets won by Haris Iqbal of PAF.
Haris Iqbal after going two sets down came back strongly and won two consecutive sets by 9-11 and 11-13. It was the fifth and decisive set won by Zeeshan Gul by 12-10. In the Under-15 category final top seed Talha Alam marched into the victory against Zeeshan Malik.
Talha Alam failed to click in the first set won by Zeeshan Malik at 6-11. Talha Alam has great potential he showed against Zeeshan Malik with some fine drops, nick shorts and strong smashes were also present. After losing the first set Talha Alam of Sindh managed his position and won three consecutive sets by 12-11, 11-8 and 13-11.
Zeeshan also trie d his hard to make a comeback but he did not stand in front of the Talha Alam. In the Under-13 category final Asad Ullah of PAF defeated Noor Zaman of PAF by 3-1, the score was 7-11, 11-9, 11-8 and 11-9.
Asad Ullah of PAF dominated the proceedings soon after going down in the first set. It was in the Under-11 category Muhammad Huzaifa of PIA shocked Usman Butt of Punjab by 3-1, the score was 6-11, 11-9, 12-10 and 12-10. At the end, the chief guest gave away trophies to the position holders.
A total of 100 players took part in the Championship. Out of the Championship top players of all the four categories comprising Under-11, Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 players would be short-listed for PAF Squash Academy in the same premises at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex.
