ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Planning and Development on Sunday said no part of the country would remain deprived of the benefits of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Sources in the ministry told that CPEC envisages connecting Pakistani ports with the western China and it will be constructed mutually by Pakistan and China to ensure sustainable development.
The significant nodal cities in the two countries agreed so far under CPEC include Kashi, Taxkorgan, Khunjrab, Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore, Sukkur, Quetta, Karachi and Gwadar and such other nodes which may fall in the Corridor in future. There are 47 more cities that may get connected via road and rail networks, planned for the corridor under various routes.
The total estimated cost for CPEC and related projects during the current financial year is about one hundred and fifty-one billion rupees.
