WEB DESK: The most anticipated Lollywood flick Ho Mann Jahaan had the second highest ‘day one’ ever for a Pakistani film. It had a successful opening day earning around Rs 1.4 crore with 203 shows, Box Office Detail reported.
HMJ however lags behind Jawani Phir Nahi Aani which earned Rs 2.07 crore on its opening day.
The flick’s opening day figures left behind Bollywood film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo by around 25 lacs whereas they were much less than Dilwale which collected 2.12cr approx on day one.
JPNA was released over the Eid holidays and according to Box Office Detail HMJ had 20% less shows as compared to other big banner films due to its long duration. Asim Raza’s film had been given lesser shows because of its long duration.
Despite getting lesser shows, HMJ has done exceedingly well on its first day as compared to Pakistani films such as Bin Roye (Rs 0.425 crore worldwide), Wrong Number (Rs 0.75 crore), Jalaibee (Rs 1 crore), and Waar (Rs 1.14 crore).
Asim Raza’s directorial Ho Mann Jahan opened up in theatres on January 1. It features Mahira Khan, Sheheryar Munnawwar, Adeel Hussain and Sonya Jehan in key roles.
