Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has initiated anti-dengue and malaria drive aimed at protecting citizens from infectious diseases. The 12th round of KMC’s anti-fever control programme drive which has been kicked off on last Tuesday which would continue till January 25. All union councils of the six districts have been engaged in the campaign.
The spray schedule designed by Municipal Services Department stated that it would carry out fumigation in Keamari Town on Friday 8 January, Korangi Town on 9 January, and Baldia Town on 10 January Spray would also be carried out at parts of Janshed Town, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, New Karachi, North Karachi, Liaqatabad, Gulbergh, Korangi, Landhi, Shah Faisal, Malir district, Bin Qasim Town, and Gadap Town simultaneously.
Fumigation would be conducted at commercial centres, public places, streets, and areas near drains and nullahs to protect people from infectious deceases. As many as 30 vehicles would take part in the drive.
