PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhea Pervez Khattak has demanded to impose emergency in the province by declaring it at war, Aaj News reported.
“Pak-Afghan border should be sealed. Curfew should be imposed in the province and door-to-door checking should be carried out. If Afghan citizens could not return to their country then they should be awarded Pakistani nationality,” he said while exclusively talking to Aaj News program, Aaj Rana Mubashir Kay Sath.
He demanded from the federal government to seal the borders with Afghanistan and said five entraces from Afghanistan existed in KPK including Waziristan route. Customs authorities were anxious that smuggling would be stopped if borders were sealed.
Khattak said around one million unregistered Afghan citizens were present in the province. If they were not going back then they should be awarded Pakistani passport. He said there was no issue in any seminary of the province.
