After spending a punishment of five years ban, Muhammad Amir got selected today for T20 and ODIs series against New Zealand, announced by Chairman selection committee Haroon Rashid.
Talking to local media Amir said: “I thank Allah, my family and fans on this occasion. I’m very happy on getting selected for the upcoming New Zealand tour.”
“I am fully fit and playing cricket since last six months, including Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and Bangladesh Premier League,” Amir said.
Amir said being a professional cricketer, he had to adjust in every condition. New Zealand were playing cricket well and aggressively these days. We have to counter the same way. Only then Pakistan could give them tough time.
“It was very difficult for me since last five years but I have faith on Allah and my family. Local and foreigner cricketers have supported me,” Amir said.
Pakistan tour to New Zealand comprises of three ODIs and three T20s starting from 15th of January.
