DAVOS: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday said Pakistan was the best place for investment due to countless natural resources and geographical point of view, Aaj News reported.
“Pakistan is the 10th biggest country according to manpower and sixth biggest country according to demographical point of view. Improving internal security situation has stabilized the economy,” he said while addressing traders in Davos during his visit to Switzerland to attend the annual World Economic Forum (WEF).
The PM said effective steps had been taken against terrorism and extremism in the country, while, media was free and civil society active in Pakistan.
He said the government believed in transparency in policies. It was acting on the policies of self-reliance and privatization.
Nawaz said his government was transforming its human capital into a driver for growth and
development by empowering its youth and providing them loans to help them start business and generate employment.
The prime minister said nearly 60% of Pakistan’s population was under the age of 30, thus offering huge demographic dividends.
