WEB DESK: Who can forget that fiery spell by Wahab Riaz against Shane Watson when he astounded the whole cricket fraternity in the world cup 2015.
Now he will be on the same pitches with same movement and bounce and he is really confident against the Kiwi’s who are reigning at their home and in different parts of the world.
In a statement which exploded on social media Wahab Riaz said “Pakistan will present a whole new challenge against New Zealand. It seems that cricket is easy for them these days but it would not be anymore.”
“New Zealand team is playing well but it would be a different challenge for them because we have much more experience and better bowlers than Sri Lanka”, Wahab told ESPNCricinfo.
“We cannot sit back and relax and watch them hitting us, we will play attacking cricket against them”
New Zealand recently beat Sri Lanka 3-1 in ODIs and clean sweep in two match T20 series.
But Pakistan have some good memories too, Pakistan toured New Zealand the last time in 2010 and they won both ODI (3-2) and T20(2-1) series.
Talking about Mohammad Amir and Umar Gul, Wahab said, “Amir will take pressure off me. He is a great introduction for the team, he can bowl in swings and out swings and if you take early wickets the pressure would be on batsmen that is why I am saying that Amir will take pressure off me, Umar Gul is back and he is doing well, it will be a great combination for us.”
