ISLAMABAD: It was decided that the western route for the China Pakistan Economic Corridor will begin construction at the earliest. The decision came at an All Parties Conference chaired by the Prime Minister on Friday.
This western route will connect Mianwali, Dera Ismail Khan, Zhob and Quetta.
The PM also formed a steering committee headed by all four chief ministers. The committee will take care of the development in the CPEC and submit a report on it after three months.
All parties present at the meeting approved of the CPEC. It was decided that developments on the project will be discussed and approved by provinces.
This was the second APC held for CPEC. The first was held on May 28.
