SIALKOT: President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Mansoor Ahmed has stressed upon trade officers to discharge their duties with missionary zeal and play their role in promoting exports from the country.
He was addressing newly selected 41 trade officers who headed by Naeem Khan a senior officer visited Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Tuesday.
SCCI president said it was the duty of diplomats and commercial councilors to strengthen Pakistan’s relations with other countries and to promote two-way trade as well as to remove the hurdles which were hindering the export of the country.
Mansoor said that it was the duty of trade officers to arrange single country trade exhibitions besides arranging trade delegations to and from their respective countries for bringing big boom in trade volume.
The SCCI president said that present government under its vision 2025 had fixed the export target of US 150 dollars. In order to attain the required results, he said, the role of Pakistani trade officers posted in foreign countries had become more important because without their cooperation and support the business community alone was unable to pursue the target he said.
The SCCI President informed the visitors about the unique export culture of Sialkot.
Speaking on the occasion leader of Naeem Khan lauded the efforts of business community for accomplishing mega development projects on self-help basis.
