LAHORE: Punjab Assembly on Tuesday passed a resolution for putting a ban on private luxury Hajj operation through tour operators.
The resolution also urged the federal government to take over responsibility in line with the decision of the Islamic Ideology Council.
The resolution was tabled by MPA Sheikh Allaudin in the session, in which, it was said that Umrah and Hajj tour operators were miniting money from people in the name of luxury hajj operation.
The resolution also demanded that all TV channels should be made bound not to dramatize crimes and criminal cases.
The assembly passed another resolution, in which, it was demanded that centres should be established at district level for the treatment of hepatitis and provision of medicines and injections free of cost.
