WEB DESK: Pakistan super league started on February 4. With eight matches played between five teams, it is already showing the talent in players and urging them to perform well.
Quetta Gladiators was beaten by Lahore Qalandars as they clinch the first victory for their team in Pakistan Super League. With this Quetta Gladiator has won three matches out of four played so far. Peshawar Zalmi came second with two matches won out of three played.
Muhammad Nawaz played four matches for Quetta Gladiators giving only 92 runs making him the top wicket taker in the tournament so far. In his first match, he took 4 for 13 set up which set Quetta Gladiators’ eight-wicket victory over Islamabad United in Dubai.
With only one international bowler BAW Mendis, the top line up for highest wicket taker consist of all Pakistani players.
Islamabad United has played three matches and won only one match against Karachi Kings. Although the metropolitan city team, Karachi Kings, hasn’t played quite well during their two out of three matches, they won only their first match against Lahore Qalandars.
Umar Akmal became the third highest score of the Pakistan Super League with his fastest 93 runs of the tournament with only 40-ball guiding Lahore Qalandars to their first win against Quetta Gladiators in Dubai on Monday.
Luke Wright became the top scorer of Pakistan Super League as he made his mark in the first match of the season against Islamabad United when Wright wrapped the match up unbeaten at 86 off 53 balls with 11 fours, four sixes and 24 balls to spare at the end of the match.
